First I’d like to quote some words from a famous Linguist, Gary Larson:
I once referred to a character in one my cartoons as a “dork” (a popular insult when I was growing up), but my editor called me up and said that “dork” couldn’t be used because it meant “penis.” I couldn’t believe it. I ran to my New Dictionary of American Slang and, sure enough, he was right. All those years of saying or being called a “dork” and I had never really known what it meant. What a nerd.

I also have the same feeling with him as I have studied the book .And the more I read the more shameful I have to be. Everything has its foundation, so is any kinds of language. No doubt, it is word that form language. So how can we master them if we try to learn a language well? Just remember them mechanically by reciting? Maybe u will remember the words just now, but u’ll find the memory can not last long. That is because u learn them literally but never the connotation.

Semantics is the study of the meaning of words, phrases and sentences. In semantic analysis, there is always an attempt to focus on what the words conventionally mean, rather than on what a speaker might want the words to mean on a particular occasion. The technical approach to meaning emphasizes the objective and the general. It avoids the subjective and the local. Linguistic semantics deals the conventional meaning conveyed by the use of words and sentences of a language.

In semantics, there are some lexical relations, such as Synonym, Antonym, and Hyponymy. In my opinion, the relation of Synonym is the most critical. Synonyms are two or more forms with every closely related meaning, which are often, but not always, intersubstitutable in sentences. It should be noted that the idea of “sameness of meaning” used in discussing synonymy is not necessarily “total sameness”. There are many occasions when one word is appropriate in a sentence, but its synonym would be odd. For example, whereas the word “answer” fits in this sentence: Cathy had only one answer correct on the test, its near-synonym, reply, would sound odd. Synonymous forms may also differ in terms of formality. The sentence My father purchases a large automobile seems much more serious than the following casual version, with four synonymous replacement: My dad bought a big car.

８月１７　　　　木耀日　　　　the　small　hours
很晚了　还是睡不着　想打开c　到space　上写写东西　又怕吵着爸爸妈妈
也许是晚上看书　使得现在　神经还处于　兴奋状态吧　嘿嘿　也好

其实也不知道　过了　tem-8　是好是坏　
至少那样的话　就没了退路
现在　心里还是有些小小的矛盾的
很想很想　捧着　那张　certification　去外面闯闯
但想到一些讨厌的人＆讨厌的事　又觉得　自己是应该沉下心来　好好复习
我要正给那些讨厌的人看　要让那些　xx的人回过头来摇尾乞怜　
嘿嘿　好恶毒的女人　
这些　是我怎么都放不开　也忘不了的
而且　也真的是很大很大一部分支撑着我的理由　
当然　真正坐在桌前　wo　又会觉得　研究自己喜欢的东西　是多么地开心

也许有人会觉得我心里　有太多太多的　hatred　那么就让无谓的人　这么觉得吧
小思　不愿意　向不懂　wo的人　解释太多　
＆　wo　也尊重每个人　的选择　
小思　相信　生命中有人靠近　有人离开
虽然　物是人非　是很可怕的字眼　
b　wo　也会很坦然　接受　然后　慢慢习惯　

最最羡慕　拿得起　放得下的人　能洒脱地做自己　要做的事情　
我同样也可以　
不知道从什么时候开始　变得那么容易推卸责任　
互相　埋怨　互相　推脱　好没意义
不想妈妈看到　情绪低落的自己　而担心
其实我很好　真的　
一切的一切我都能　控制得很好　
我很知道　自己现在要的是什么　
所以亲爱的们　不要为小思担心　加油

让人　感动的好声音　
虽然　她长得不漂亮　虽然不具备纯熟的　舞台表现力
可是　她有着一副　能直达人们　内心的好嗓音　
这样　就足够了　
从她唱的第一首中文歌　＜爱＞　到昨晚的　＜夜夜夜夜＞
都让我　印象深刻　
就好象　当时　听到　＜陌生人＞一样的感动　
那种感觉　没人能明白　

全部考完了　总算什么什么都结束了　想着再过十天能拿到驾照　就觉得好开心　嘿嘿
虽然过程很痛苦　等待考试的时间　是那么那么难打发　b　都过去了　而且　结果意外地好
想想　凌晨练车也是段很不一样的经历呢
只是　我们每个人　都不断地犯一些很低级很低级的错误　弄得教练　气到不行　伤了他的身体　过意不去啊

明天考试了　嘿嘿　教练问我紧张不　奇怪　一点也不也~
想起临近桩考的时候 还是有点小担心的 就因为教练教过我姐 我可不想 丢脸呢
今天的练习还算稳定 恩 不紧张 小思不紧张
总算在今天中午和昕一起 去吃了韩国料理 结果是 两个人 撑到不能动
好后悔 点了两碗拌饭 最后上来的那个火锅 可是把我们吓到不行
可是两个猛女 还是基本上吃完了 真厉害
不过最厉害的还是 昕 她竟然 在一碗拌饭后还能吃得下那么多面条~汗~~~~~~
今天 看蛮子同学的日记 她老人家还是 把"删" 说成了"栓" 我的天哪
真不敢想象她是怎样 毒害普通话测试的考官的 可年可年
还有件开心的事情 小思同学和蛮子同学有两双一模一样的鞋子了哦 gaga
明天 好象 挺恐怖的呢 因为所有株洲去衡阳路考的学员明天都会一起 所以 明天要练车到晚上11点 第二天凌晨四点又都要爬起来练
不过 小思不怕 ~
希望明天顺利吧 b 现在肚子有点痛也 蛮子 9号啊 怎么办 为我祈祷吧!
